Dean’s Office

    The Dean’s Office is the functional department which is responsible for the professional management of undergraduates teaching at the University. It has set up 4 sections: Educational Administration Section, Teaching Research Section, Practice Teaching Section and Appraisal Section, and two offices: Admission Office and General Office.
    For many years, the Dean’s Office has been constantly deepening educational & teaching reform so as to promote the in-depth reform and development of the University’s teaching work in accordance with the guiding ideology of Follow the Educational Law, Deepen the Teaching Reform, Strengthen Quality Education, Rigidly Enforce Teaching Management and Improve Teaching Quality, and with the quality of training talents as the center, with teaching capital construction as the basis, and with teaching management as the lever.
    The major functions of the Dean’s Office are as follows:
    1. To formulate the talents training schemes and teaching programs.
    2. To establish specialties for undergraduates; apply for and construct the Famous Brand Specialties at provincial level and school level.
    3. To take charge of curriculum construction and management of teaching operations; to be in charge of management of students’ status and examination affairs.
    4. To be in charge of the project approval and management of the educational and teaching research; to organize and manage the teaching materials construction.
    5. To be responsible for construction of undergraduates teaching conditions and management of teaching funds.
    6. To organize and manage practice teaching, including the management of laboratories, the Experiments Demonstration Center, course design & production practice, and undergraduate graduation designs (papers).
    7. To be responsible for appointing lead teachers, granting teaching awards, and rewarding teachers.
    8. To be in charge of enrollment of undergraduates, graduation of undergraduates, degree conferment, and postgraduate recommendation without the admission examination.
    9. To be responsible for the management of undergraduates’ majors & minors, major change, and major diversion.
    10. To take charge of design & management of the monitoring system for the undergraduate teaching quality of the University, arrangements & summary of teaching investigations, conception & design of teaching morals, and instructional supervision.
